Farewell to Erik Schäfer as Managing Director of the OBE Group

After more than 35 years with OBE – including over 22 years as a member of the management board – Erik Schäfer will step down from his positions as Managing Director in various domestic and international entities of the OBE Group effective December 31, 2025. However, Mr. Schäfer will remain closely connected to the OBE Group beyond January 1, 2026, in an advisory capacity. In this new role, he will continue to support the company with his extensive industry expertise, international network, and deep understanding of the specific requirements of global markets. His experience will therefore continue to play an important role in the company’s future development.

Oliver Stiegen assumes responsibility for Sales

With Oliver Stiegen, OBE gains an experienced international manager who will take on responsibility as Managing Director for Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Development. Stiegen brings extensive expertise in global market expansion and in strategically integrating diverse business areas. His mission will be to further strengthen the customer focus of the OBE Group and introduce new impulses, particularly in the field of innovative precision components and smart glasses.

Technological advancement through expertise from MIMplus

In parallel, Harald Böck will assume operational responsibility as Technical Managing Director. He brings many years of experience from his executive role at MIMplus Technologies and will vigorously drive the industrial and technological advancement across the entire OBE Group – especially regarding modern manufacturing technologies and synergies between OBE and MIMplus.

Continuity in the commercial division

Peter Specht will continue in his role as Commercial Managing Director, ensuring the ongoing stable financial management of the group.

With its sales and production sites in Germany, Italy, China, and Vietnam, the OBE Group remains excellently positioned to advance new projects and technologies together with its customers.
