OBE nominated for the Silmo d’Or 2024 with “Polepower Click”

This year’s MIDO took place in Milan from January 31 to February 2, 2026, and OBE once again proudly participated. The exhibition remains a key milestone in our annual trade fair calendar and a vital platform for innovation and industry exchange. Our focus this year centered on two main themes: Personalization and Smart Developments. In the smart segment, we introduced our latest concept SMARTFLEX – an innovative spring hinge designed for smart glasses, currently presented as a concept study. We will now evaluate the feedback received and integrate insights into further development. Another major highlight was the Flowlink hinge, featuring three width options and three differently sized cable channels. Following its successful world premiere at SILMO 2025, the product is now commercially available. Within the personalization segment, we showcased our extensive capabilities in customizing and enhancing plastic inserts, backed by many years of experience. The demand for individualized solutions continues to grow. To support customers in taking their first step toward customized inserts, we once again presented our design insert, which is part of the OBE standard product range. Additional personalization options are offered through design variations in the base of front hinges, particularly for recessed applications. Both custom inserts and front hinges require transparent or near-transparent acetate to best highlight premium finishing techniques. Overall, MIDO 2026 was a great success – and we are already looking forward to next year!
