29th OBE Designer Workshop – Creativity, Innovation and Valuable Exchange

The 29th OBE Designer Workshop once again brought together designers, product developers and industry experts to discuss the future of eyewear.

This year's event welcomed around 20 participants, including designers from the eyewear industry and students from the Accessory Design program at Pforzheim University.
We were also delighted to welcome our co-host DIVEL Italia, a leading Italian developer and manufacturer of prescription lenses, premium sunglass lenses and performance sport lenses, who shared valuable insights into current lens technologies, design trends and future market developments.

Throughout the workshop, participants exchanged ideas on emerging design trends, innovative materials and future product concepts. OBE presented several new hinge solutions and product concepts, which generated valuable discussions and constructive feedback from designers and industry experts.

One conclusion became very clear: the eyewear market is becoming increasingly individual. Consumers expect distinctive designs, greater functionality and tailor-made solutions. As a result, the demands placed on suppliers such as OBE continue to grow. The ability to develop and manufacture increasingly sophisticated hinge solutions that combine design freedom, functionality and efficient production is becoming a key success factor.
