OBE: Designer workshop with a new record

On July 11, 2024, OBE held the 27th Designer Workshop and set a new record. The event, now a fixture in the German eyewear industry, attracted 25 participants from 15 companies to the OBE Germany headquarters in Ispringen. For almost three decades, the OBE workshop has been a platform for ideas and technological breakthroughs related to eyeglass frames.
This time participants received exciting updates on hinge technology such as metal 3D printing and magnetic hinges. A variety of ways to personalize hinges were also presented. This trend, which has been evident for a few years now, is continuing more and more. The workshop was supplemented by a guest contribution from Frey & Winkler, Königsbach-Stein, who gave the participants insights into pad topics.

The exchange and networking with renowned companies such as Deoma, De Rigo Vision, Eschenbach Optik, Eye-Tec, Ferdinand Menrad, Imago Eyewear, IVKO, Lumag, Lunor, Neostyle, OWP Brillen, pm frost, Stepper Eyewear, Thomas Trauth Design and W2 -Design was remarkable. The Designer Workshop 2024 was therefore another chapter in the success story of this important industry event. The participants returned inspired and with new insights.
